Content Description Petition requesting that the Massachusetts government protect his lands against hostile squatters who live nearby, and who have repeatedly attacked his surveyors and threatened violence to his lands. States that the government has promised protection, and has previously aided him, but that his lands remain threatened. Details the history of the attacks on his lands, and the opposition of these squatters and neighbors. Written some time shortly after August 1801.
