Title | Charles G. Horsfall to Ed Horsfall regarding his future plans, Ed's lack of career and teaching Carol to dance |
Date | 12 March 1910 |
Author | Horsfall, Charles G. (fl. 1900-1910) |
Document Type | Correspondence |
Content Description | The distilling plant had to run all winter and the high tides removed three piers. He regrets not leaving last year and thinks this winter may be his last. He chides Ed for not realizing that "now is the time to fit yourself for life's battle" and find a job because "the world has no use for drones." The Bering Sea is frozen with ice from the Arctic Ocean but it is not level and so unfit for skating. He would like Ed to teach Carol to dance if she doesn't already know how. He says "the greatest pleasure to be derived from life is that which one achieves from the knowledge of a good act performed in consideration of the feelings of others." |
