My dear heart
I have received your letter from the Sopus we only have wheat for this week I will send/let you know when our grain is in we haven’t yet a sheaf in but is nearly all cut I will send in the end of the week with Mr. Sallsberrie (Salisbury) he has now xxxxx gone up to try (?) we bake at night we can not do more than 2 to 3 thousand lb. per week I don’t have a grain of sugar nor molasses nor rum in the house want that and tobacco is the most I can make money on I have written you what I need and you have the list of what you think to bring but we need money I hear that 300 hundred High Germans are going along please do see to it that Robbert will get into a good job to mind his business I long to hear from Gijsbert and from Johannes what post he will get into Naetje would actually like to go to Boston if Mister
56. Klerck’s (Clarke’s) daughter comes along to see her sister I do not doubt but that you will accord with the governor and Clarke to bake the bread you will have to get grain in the Paltz here and around there is nothing but at Dirk Wessels bring a .....needle a brush a broom a quarter tea and 6 cups and saucers to drink tea greetings to Miss Simneson Your loving wife Alida Livinghston in the manor of Livinghston 1711 July 16 do not forget a car sand for there is no more but what is in your sandbox do not forget a bottle of ink
