Additional Information | Murray served as a naval officer during the American Revolution and commanded a squadron in the Tripolitan war. The U.S.S. Murray (DD-97) and (DD-576) were named in his honor. Willing held various posts in Pennsylvania before the Revolutionary War, served on the Continental Congress 1775-1776, and was later the first president of the Bank of the United States. |
